Agriturismo Gran Sasso, Pasta While you Fish

Agriturismo Gran Sasso is a cheery agriturismo that has all the trappings you expect from an Italian family eatery in Abruzzo.  Its bright yellow tablecloths and the option to dine al fresco in its intimate wooden pagoda-like structure away from the sun is fabulous in the summer if like us you like to enjoy the warmth of an Abruzzo summer but not be burnt by it!

Agriturismo Gran Sasso

Located next to a small fishing lake, it’s very popular with locals so try and book!  Highlights from the antipasti include their stuffed olives.  Personally we prefer Agriturismo Vaccari for value for money and the antipasti options available as sometimes you do just want to skip the pasta but sadly there isn’t a great number of places that you can do that at locally as many do just offer the ham & cheese selection.
