First Sunday Free Museum Entrance in Abruzzo: ‘Domenica al Museo’

Each first Sunday of the month, Abruzzo and Italian state museums and archaeological sites open their doors for free as part of ‘Domenica al Museo’.  This is a fabulous, national wide initiative that allows you to explore and discover the history and treasures of Abruzzo without charge outside your transportation to the site.

Another day to make the most of this same free museum entry occurs on  Liberty Day, Festa della Liberazione, on the 25th of April!  One small note on these days of free entry is that although permanent exhibitions are free you will have to probably pay to see special temporary exhibitions that are hosted by the site.
