
Loreto Aprutino is hosting a series of intimate Autumnal Aperitivo Saturday soirees that chase colour and long shadows through this much cherished medieval town, culminating in a delicious aperitivo in the company of an acclaimed local wine producer, where you will hear all about this year’s harvest and vintage.
First you will meet your hosts in the Botanical Garden; here you can revel in both colourful foliage and the panoramic vista of the town, its winding alleys, infused by the warm glow of the street lights as they are turned on.
You’ll take a slow walk through the town’s cobbled medieval streets to the Acerbo Museum, home to one of the finest collections of Castelli ceramics. There you’ll discover some stunning autumn scenes, and find out just why the God of Wine, Bacchus is associated with leopards!

Onwards to the Oil Museum! An atmospheric former mill that blazed the way in the hygienic processing of ulivi, here you will discover all about the oil made in Abruzzo’s fabled ‘Golden Triangle’. The season’s ‘New Oil’ will be also available here to purchase.
Your final stop is with a local wine producer, who will tantalise you with the history of their wine, this season’s harvest, and the vintage over an aperitivo!

Cantina Da Nights
Saturday 6th November, Special Guest Cantina, Amorotti
The popular and leading organic Amorotti winery, established in 1521 still use their historic family cellars under their Palazzo to age their Trebbiano d’Abruzzo, Montepulciano d’Abruzzo and Cerasuolo wine It makes for an atmospheric setting with a glimpse back to the 19th century
Saturday 13th November, Special Guest Cantina, Talmonti
The influential Talmonti winery was established in 2001 and their Trebbiano d’Abruzzo, Pecorino, Sangiovese, and Montepulciano d’Abruzzo wines are all grown and bottled on site using only sustainable and renewable energy. Such is the popularity of their wines that they are now stocked in over 50 countries.
Saturday 20th November, Special Guest Cantina, Ciavolich
The renowned winery Ciavolich was established in 1853 and is one of the oldest wineries in Loret , that has interestingly been female led throughout much of its history including today. Its wines include Trebbiano d’Abruzzo, Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Pecorino and Cerasuolo wines.
