Pietracamela – San Martino Festa

A beautiful location to celebrate San Martino is the ‘I Borghi più Belli d’Italia’ village of Pietracamela sits under Prati di Tivo.  The village’s excellent restaurants have come together to create a polenta feast, wine and roasted chestnuts for just €10.   The restaurants are wonderful if you can’t make the festa try and go back to eat here!

There are some breathtaking walks from this beautiful village which was also part of Don Nicola Jobbi’s parish, the talented priest who so faithfully captured this mountain community as part of his fascinating ethnographic study from the 1950s to early 1970s.
