Exploring the Tirino River

A fabulous free morning is offered guided by the head of Abruzzo’s bird-watching association to explore the rich habitat and flora and fauna of the Tirino River which is regarded as Europe’s cleanest river in the stretch by the medieval town of Capestrano.

This Sunday morning is aimed at birdwatchers or avid wildlife or natural world photography fans.  The day starts at 9.15 am, and the wonderful snacky lunch by Chef Catherine de Zagon can be booked for €16 which will be eaten at the San Pietro Abbey ad Oratorium.

Pre-booking is essential,  call or message 0039 34761404.  In the case of bad weather, the weekend will be rescheduled to Sunday 30th October.
