Profile
Casa di Giulia is a cheerful and inviting B&B in the mountain village of San Donato, 950 metres above sea level in the Regional Velino–Sirente Natural Park. It’s less than 90 minutes from Rome. With expansive views and peaceful surroundings, it’s a great spot for walkers, weekend visitors, and anyone wanting to slow down and enjoy nature.
The village is a popular stop on the Cammino dei Briganti, a 100 km walking route between Abruzzo and Lazio. Casa di Giulia is known as a great place to stay for the final stage. Walkers will see a striking mural on the house, dedicated to the area’s history and to those who travel on foot. This mural is a meaningful and well-loved landmark along the route.
Although Casa di Giulia is in a quiet spot, it’s only 10 minutes from Tagliacozzo. There, guests can find restaurants, pizzerias, and a lively evening scene. In summer, the town also hosts cultural events, such as the well-known summertime Festival di Mezza Estate.
Signora Giulia and her family run the B&B, which is known for its friendly welcome, cleanliness, and great value. Guests often mention the cosy atmosphere and the delicious homemade breakfast cakes.
