Help Bring in the Lavender at Abruzzolavanda, Pollutri

The lavender fields at Abruzzolavanda are ready, and you are invited to help bring them in. Over the weekend of Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 July, you can join the harvest at Pollutri, working alongside the family in the cool of the day.

Two windows are open each day, early from 6 am to 11 am, then again from 5 pm once the heat has lifted. Drinks and snacks are laid on, and you are welcome to take some lavender home. It is a lovely, aromatic way to spend a morning or an evening, the air thick with scent and the bees working the rows around you. Sit a while and watch them; it is a small marvel.

If you would rather simply come and pick, that is on offer too. It costs 5 euros per head, and the fee is refunded against anything you buy on the day: soaps, lavender oil, pillows, and bunches.

We will do our best to keep this calendar up to date, however in the case of last-minute cancellations due to adverse weather conditions, Covid outbreaks and so forth this may not always be possible.  In these cases, you should contact the event organiser for a refund as we are not responsible for the events on the calendar, only compiling them into an easy list.  As soon as we have news from an organiser when any event will be rescheduled we will update the calendar accordingly.
