WhatsOnAbruzzo – Immacolata Edition

During the Immaculate Conception long weekend, Abruzzo becomes especially lively. Towns and villages across all four provinces celebrate with ancient fire festivals in places like Pollutri, Collelongo, Atri, and Francavilla al Mare, as well as Christmas markets, family events, and food and wine celebrations.

On Sunday, December 7th, you can visit Abruzzo’s state museums, castles, and archaeological parks for free as part of Italy’s Free Museum Day. It’s a great chance to enjoy these sites while taking festive walks through L’Aquila, Chieti, Pescara, Teramo, Sulmona, and the coastal towns.

Here is a simple list of everything happening in Abruzzo from December 1st to 8th. You’ll find fire festivals, patron saint traditions, Christmas markets, children’s activities, concerts, local food and wine, and seasonal highlights across the mountains, hill towns, and Adriatic coast.
