Schiavi d'Abruzzo (Ch) Mazzaroni carnival

Head south to one of Abruzzo’s oldest carnival celebrations in Schiavi d’Abruzzo for a celebration of music, dance, nature and community.  Read the history here!

Saturday 14th February

• 9:00 Gathering of the Mazzaroni and all the participants in Piazza Purgatorio and departure
• 10.15 Arrival in  Valli hamlet, Piazzale Chiesa
• 11:00  Arrival in Casali hamlet, Piazzale Chiesa
• 11.45  Arrival in Salce hamlet, Piazzale Chiesa
• 13.00  Arrival in Cannavina hamlet, Piazzale Chiesa
• 14.00  Arrival in Taverna hamlet, Piazzale Chiesa
• 3.00  Arrival in Cupello hamlet, Piazzale Chiesa
• 4.30 Arrival in Badia district, Piazzale Chiesa
• 6.00 Arrival in San Martino hamlet, Piazzale Chiesa

Tuesday 17th February

• 11.00 Gathering in Piazza Purgatorio
• 12.00 Departure for Valloni hamlet
• 15.30 Parade through the town
