Santo Stefano di Sessanio

La Notte Delle Lumère n.5, in Santo Stefano di Sessanio, is an evening event that weaves you through the medieval streets, accompanied by donkeys, music, and tales that step back in time to hear and experience how the traditional ‘New Year’, the Capetièmpe, was celebrated by the farming community in its celebrations between 31st October and San Martino day. Hosts Gira e Regira (read our review of donkey hiking with them). Italian and English are spoken.

Guests are invited to pick one programme, the first for children, the later one for adults.

The children’s experience begins at 5:30 pm (with donkeys), and the adults at 21:30.

The “Compagnia delle Lumère 2022” is kindly offered by the Proloco di Santo Stefano di Sessanio.
Cost: € 15 / person

There is the possibility of themed menus for the “Lumère Dinner” in the participating restaurants.
