British & Commonwealth Cemetery Tour : FAI Lest we forget – Places of War in Peacetime

Back by popular demand this summer, is a second, “FAI Lest we forget – Places of War in Peacetime” at the British and Commonwealth Cemetery in Torino di Sangro. This event is hosted by FAI, but is guided be Francesco Di Cintio who is a military historian and IGBG Accredited Battlefield Guide. (We have also been told he speaks English so he can help answer questions that arise in English as well). There will be an interlude of readings and music by the volunteers of the FAI Youth Group of Vasto.

The British and Commonwealth Cemetery in Torino di Sangro contains 2,617 graves of servicemen who lost their lives during World War II from countries including those from the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, and South Africa who fought for the Allied forces and for the liberation of Italy from its Nazi occupation.
The visit will start at 17.30. It is advisable to arrive at least 10 minutes in advance if booking on the day.
