Basketweaving workshop in Abruzzo

Join us for a truly unforgettable experience at Birrificio Maiella in Pretoro, where tradition, taste, and craftsmanship come together in one special event!

Master artisan Licio Pallotta, known as the Maeter Basket Weaver, will guide you through the ancient art of weaving — a skill passed down through generations. Learn how to create beautiful and practical pieces like bread baskets, lampshades, handbags, and more, using just your hands and natural materials.

As your hands stay busy weaving, your senses will be treated to something just as rich — a craft beer tasting from one of Abruzzo’s most beloved artisan breweries, and sizzling arrosticini fresh off the grill.

This is more than a workshop — it’s a celebration of Abruzzese culture, where time slows down, creativity flows, and flavours linger.
