The Autumn Flavors Festival, celebrating the chestnut and other regional products of Roveto Valley, returns to the historic village of Canistro Superiore (AQ) on 11-12th October 2025. This vibrant event is organised by the "Donne 2000" Association and has become a cherished tradition.

Sante Marie is one of Abruzzo's most famous chestnut towns and its chestnut festival is legendary. Enjoy the walks and cycle rides organised through the chestnut woods during the sagra to the usual celebrations and walk around this mural town in the province of L'Aquila
On November 1st, Opi, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, will dress up in the colours and flavours of Autumn with its ancient festival.
Roccamontepiano is Abruzzo's Vino Cotto capital (Cooked Wine) and celebrates this elixir with tastings and demonstrations of how it is made, local dishes a market and dance and music! For those that don't know about this liqueur, Montepulciano grapes are simmered and then aged in oak caskets. Traditionally, it was the drink used to wet a baby's head and given as part of the dowry!
