Canistro Superiore – Sapori d’Autunno (Tastes of Autumn)
The Autumn Flavours Festival, celebrating the chestnut and other regional products of Roveto Valley, returns to the historic village of Canistro Superiore (AQ) on 11-12th October 2025. This vibrant event, organised by the “Donne 2000” Association, has become a cherished tradition – a captivating blend of colours and tastes that showcases the autumn harvest with traditional meals and customs that revive bygone traditions. Each part of the village provides a different dish to taste; their polenta is one of the best we’ve eaten at a festa!
The town will be adorned with festive decorations, and its unique specialities will be available throughout the area. However, the most coveted spot will always be the one dedicated to the Roscetta di Canistro chestnut, a true source of pride during the local autumn season.
