Arsita: Valfino al Canto

Arsita’s folk music festival, Valfino al Canto is a must-visit if you are in Abruzzo between the 9th-11th August.  It’s an incredible 3-day event, with musicians and bands from across Italy and Europe participating. Together each evening, they busk on street corners and play on stages to create the biggest folk music event in central and southern Italy!   Each night begins with a wonderful musical parade through the town.  The food is excellent and this year there is an optional vegan menu too!

There is nothing nostalgic about this festival as traditional music is still an integral part of Italian rural life, with multiple generations of families descending on the country for three days to share and learn folk songs.

The organisation provides a FREE CAMPING area, equipped with toilets a few steps from the heart of the festival open from 18:00 on 8 August until 15:00 on 12 August.

The food and wine STANDS will be open from 19:00 each day.
