A little bit more about some of Abruzzo’s best known artists and styles across the years
There is one kitchen in Prezza that stands out, not only for the delicious food prepared by Teresa, a great cook but also for the striking artwork that adorns her fireplace by the Sardinian artist Telesforo Manca.
There are some super-talented individuals who are Abruzzese by blood, yet not by birth who are unofficial ambassadors and keepers of the region overseas. One of the first of these is the fabulous, pioneering photographer Amalia Sperandio.
A superb collection of murals by has been unveiled in Pesconale (AQ), a polemic subject in Italy and the world at the moment. It's a study of humans leaving for a better life and their return if it wasn't, no tags of legal or illegal, just people.
