Castelvecchio Calvisio: Tapas, Meze Antipasti Lunch

We’re having a Life In Abruzzo group lunch and you’re invited to the Delizie della Fattoria Valle Magica Bistro! It sits just 30 minutes down the road from Rocca Calascio for those that would like to see it sprinkled with a bit of snow!

The bistro will serve a tempting and generous selection of ‘little plates’ inspired by Greece, Spain and of course Italy all made from natural ingredients, all 0 km, produced at Fattoria Valle Magica or sourced locally to Castelvecchio Calvisio AQ. Natural wines and artisan beers can be optionally ordered. For dessert, there is a little homemade ‘carnevale’ treat!

Before lunch, there will be an optional tour of the farm to allow you the opportunity to meet the animals, see the work done and discover all about the farm’s rare breeds, their history in Abruzzo and Italy and their place in sustainable farming today.

There will be an evergreen theme for the event. Whilst at the farm, Ralph Boston will be introducing specific herbs and berries which you will be able to take home with a recipe and sample bottle to recreate something fun and tasty that can be used within meals, for cheeses and in cocktails! Aren’t you curious about what it could be?!

Following lunch, there will be a workshop for Life in Abruzzo to further conversations and actions following the Christmas Lunch.
