Here are our favourite ways to spend a poppy-filled May in Abruzzo. Must visit Abruzzesi sagre includes the Cocullo Snake Festival and do look at our list of pop up events like ‘aperte cantine’ that you can join if you are travelling that weekend. Most of all here’s what to expect from the beautiful springtime flora and fauna if you go walking and the delicious seasonal local foods that May delivers.
