In terms of health and safety, each of small food and beauty makers and holiday and accommodation providers continue to follow the strictest Italian and EU regulations, and have taken even more steps in light of the pandemic to ensure all social distancing measures are followed for all their staff and all their customers.
In terms of physical delivery our makers and creators are working hard to ensure that parcels get dispatched quickly and in keeping with the estimated delivery timescales you see. Each of our makers and creators will keep their delivery timescales updated as best they can to reflect the changing situation. During this challenging time delivery services may have some delays in the case of local lock-downs which are outside the control and visibility of our makers and creators. As a precaution we recommend allowing an extra few days delivery on the timescales you can see and thank you in advance for all your patience.
How Marketplace Shipping Works
Every physical order is sent to you directly by the talented food, drink or & craftsman. If you order items from more than one food maker you will receive more than one delivery.
The food makers specify their own delivery options, and sure their delivery prices are fair and reasonable. Their delivery options and charges can be seen on their product details pages, in your basket and also confirmed before you checkout.
As soon as your items have been dispatched you will receive confirmation that your delivery is on its way. You can track the status of your orders in your LifeInAbruzzo account, where you can also get in touch with the creator or maker directly if you have any questions (look for “Contact Seller”). These guide prices indicate the maximum charges for orders of standard items. Food and drink makers & creators will confirm their actual delivery charges on their product pages and also when you checkout. Orders including non-standard items (for example: drinks, accessories, or chilled foods), or orders exceeding 2 kg in total weight, may have higher delivery costs associated due to their size, weight or unique shipping requirements.
Shipping Tip: the more items you order from any one food maker often the more economical the delivery charges will be, especially those that offer free standard delivery above certain order values.
Very occasionally, unavoidable factors can delay a delivery (bad weather, postal strikes and elections, for example). We do ask for your patience if this happens – the maker will be doing their very best to sort it out for you.
If your items haven’t arrived within the delivery timescales and you haven’t heard from the food maker, something may have gone wrong. Get in touch with your creator or maker to let them know. Once you’ve done this, if you’d still like some more help, get in touch with us – we’ll be very happy to help.
