Pennadomo is a charming village in the province of Chieti, located at just 465 meters above sea level, in the fascinating area of the Aventino - Val di Sangro mountain community. Characterised by a strategic geographical position, Pennadomo offers a unique setting where majestic mountains merge with the splendid Adriatic Sea, which is only 35 km away. From here, you can reach the Costa dei Trabocchi.

Famous for sport climbing, Pennadomo is renowned among climbing enthusiasts for its spectacular cliffs, including legendary names such as Resegone, Placche dell'Oasi, and Cima Fumosa. The history of climbing comes to life thanks to the courage and passion of Giorgio Ferretti, who since the 1980s has transformed these rock walls into a paradise for climbers.

But Pennadomo is not just a vertical paradise; it also offers a wide variety of natural and scenic attractions that can be appreciated from the highest point in the village, where a Cross has been placed. From here, you can admire the "Mother of the Mountains," the majestic Maiella, and the picturesque Lake Bomba, one of the largest artificial dams built in Italy and the first in Europe.

At the entrance of the village, there is a Canyon, famous for the Gran Giara Waterfall, fed by the San Leo River. This place has become a true attraction for geologists and many tourists from all over the world.
