Carapelle Calvisio (AQ) – Pumpkin Patch

Join Fattoria Valle Magica for their latest fun farm activity… PUMPKIN PATCH! This American tradition has already become popular in other areas of Italy during the weeks leading up to Halloween and the farm has decided to bring the tradition to Abruzzo for everyone to enjoy.
Pumpkin Patch is the name given to a festival with lots of pumpkins, but it can also include many other aspects of an Autumn festival. The farm always likes to mix in new things with local traditions, so expect to find local seasonal food and drinks plus some new treats. There will also be stalls where some amazing artisans will be selling some beautiful creations!
On the day of the event you will be welcomed to the farm where you can visit and feed the animals and also enjoy pumpkin displays throughout the main area of the farm, including displays created by other farms, businesses and companies.
From the pumpkin patch you can choose a pumpkin to purchase that you can decorate or carve as part of our included workshops offered. The pumpkins are all sizes and colours and will range from 3 to 10 euros. There are also some giant pumpkins that are individually priced.
Workshops:
-Pumpkin painting and decorating
-Pumpkin carving
-Autumn treasure hunt
-Autumn-themed colouring
Additionally, some market vendors will also have small objects for sale that can be painted and coloured. Items are for sale but colouring and painting are free activities!
We will serve platters, arrosticini (which you will have to cook yourself on the barbecues provided with salt, coal, etc and drinks. It is not necessary to book food and drinks in advance!!
We will have local craft beer on tap from ANBRA. There will also be other food vendors selling other Street Food including burgers, tomato pizza, various desserts, cheese platters and more for you to enjoy.
There will be plenty of free seating and shaded areas and the farm’s helper will be offering activities for children including face painting and donkey rides!
We will do our best to keep this calendar up to date, however in the case of last-minute cancellations due to adverse weather conditions, Covid outbreaks and so forth this may not always be possible. In these cases, you should contact the event organiser for a refund as we are not responsible for the events on the calendar, only compiling them into an easy list. As soon as we have news from an organiser when any event will be rescheduled we will update the calendar accordingly.
